In 2020, the Cairngorms Business Partnership, on behalf of the project, invited the business community to share their views about promoting the natural heritage of the Cairngorms National Park and ways to enjoy it responsibly.
Workshops were attended by businesses including estates, accommodation providers, wildlife guides, visitor attractions and outdoor activity providers; all felt they had an important role to play in helping people to enjoy and look after the National Park and the things that make it special, including its rare and endangered wildlife. You can read the notes from the workshops here.
A plan will be developed, led by the Cairngorms Business Partnership, to help all businesses play an active roll in maximising the visitor experience in the National Park and opportunities for wildlife to thrive.
Key to this is building a better understanding of visitors. The business community will therefore be involved in the project's visitor research
The Cairngorms Business Partnership will also be launching a survey for businesses soon to understand in more detail how the business community feels about promoting the natural heritage of the Cairngorms National Park and ways to enjoy it responsibly.
Events and activities
The Cairngorms Business Partnership will soon be inviting businesses to share their views through an online survey. A link to the survey will be available on this page, so please watch this space. The survey will also include an opportunity for a follow-up phone call for businesses who'd like to have a more detailed conversation.
Please watch this space for meeting notes as the work develops.
